Nigeria’s anti-corruption watchdog, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) reported of staggering cash seizure from a former head of the country’s oil company.
The EFCC’s operation at a facility belonging to Dr. Andrew Yakubu, a former head of the national oil company in Kaduna led to the seizure of a sum of $9,772,800 and another sum of £74,000 all in cash.
The anti-graft outfit said the monies were kept in a fire-proof safe. The EFCC shared pictures of the cash sums. One photo showed operatives pushing a cabinet which ostensibly contained the funds. Below are a few photos of the monies.
